Ensemble Col legno, a Valencian group conducted by Robert Ferrer, is dedicated to interpreting chamber orchestra music and performing new compositions, having premiered 30 works by living composers.

The recording of this album was partly made possible by an Arts and Letters Award in Music that Leonardo Balada received in 2007 from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
