Pauline Buet, the cellist, plays with a bow from the school of Dominique Pecatte, which is lent to her by the Fonds Instrumental Français.

The album's concept, 'Bleu et la mélancolie douce' (Bittersweet Melancholy of Blue), was inspired by the poetic universe of the color blue, encompassing nostalgia and a certain gentle melancholy.
Recording & Production
The Pierre Bergé Auditorium, where the album was recorded, was designed by Studio KO and Theatre Projects to be a versatile space, capable of transforming into a recital hall, conference area, or projection room, with variable acoustics.

This album was recorded in October 2020 at the Pierre Bergé Auditorium within the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech, Morocco.
Performer Biography
David Violi, the pianist, trained at the CNSM Conservatoire de Lyon and later became a student and mentee of Aldo Ciccolini.
Album & Artwork
The choice of the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and the Majorelle Garden in Marrakech for the recording venue created a 'marvellous resonance' with the album's theme of blue and the ensemble I Giardini.
Performer Biography
I Giardini, the ensemble, was founded in 2012 by cellist Pauline Buet and pianist David Violi, bringing together talented artists with a shared musical sensibility.
