The Antares Quintett won first prize at the 1st International Albert Mamriev music competition in Brunswick and the promotion prize Junge Kunst (Young Art) of the Volksbank Paderborn-Höxter-Detmold.

The recordings for this album took place in June 2012 for tracks 11-13 and December 2013 for tracks 1-10, at the Konzerthaus Detmold, Germany.

The Antares Quintett was formed in Autumn 2008 at the Detmold Music Academy and performs as a quintet, sextet, or piano quintet.
