Violinist Tasmin Little and pianist Piers Lane’s third album of British violin sonatas contains a variety of works stretching from the early 20th century to the present day. Sonatas by John Ireland and William Alwyn are the earliest works on the recording, dating from 1915–17 and 1933 respectively, while works by Eric Coates and York Bowen were written during the Second World War. James Francis Brown’s The Hart’s Grace was premiered in 2016; this is its premiere recording.
