Composition History
Kabalevsky's Waltz from 'The Comedians' was suggested for this album after Éric Mouret, the arranger, fell in love with it while watching the animated film 'Ice Age'.
Interpretation
Camerata Alma Viva's interpretation of Mozart's divertimenti pushes tempi to their limits and uses striking articulations, inspired by the Baroque period.

Camerata Alma Viva, the ensemble performing on this album, was created in 2009 in Geneva and is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
Compositional Technique
The arrangement of Handel's Passacaglia on this album uses the ensemble's low strings (contrabass, cello, and viola) to give the music a weight that might be missing in the original harpsichord version.
