Composer Biography
Ferdinand Ries, a composer on this album, was a pupil of Beethoven and managed Beethoven's relations with his publishers, copying manuscripts and writing correspondence.
Composition History
The history of large-scale works for clarinet, cello, and piano began with two trios composed by Ludwig van Beethoven in 1797 and 1803.
Interpretation
Trio Origo, the performers on this album, was formed in 2004 and focuses on performing Classical and Romantic works on period instruments.
