The Sächsische Bläserphilharmonie (Saxon Wind Philharmonic) was founded in 1950 as the 'Rundfunk-Blasorchester Leipzig' (Radio Wind Orchestra Leipzig) and is unique in the German orchestral landscape for its distinctive symphonic wind instrumentation.

Performer Biography
David Timm, the conductor, was a member and first prefect of the Leipzig Thomanerchor and has received numerous awards, including first prizes in piano and organ improvisation competitions.
