Performer Biography
The New London Children's Choir, launched by Ronald Corp in 1991, has performed in major London concert halls, collaborated with opera companies, and made numerous recordings and broadcasts.
Composition History
Ronald Corp's children's opera, The Ice Mountain, was commissioned through a donation from the Naef/Bertele Family, who were inspired by their Swiss origins to propose a Swiss folk-legend adaptation.

This recording of The Ice Mountain was made possible by donations from parents and Friends of the choir.
Notable Performances
The Ice Mountain was first performed in a production by Abigail Morris in March 2010 at St Michael's Church, Hampstead.
Composition History
The libretto for The Ice Mountain was adapted by Emma Hill from the Swiss folk-tale 'Die alte Frau und die Toten' ('The Old Woman and the Dead').
Compositional Technique
The Ice Mountain is structured in four short acts, representing the four seasons, and incorporates elements of Swiss folk-music and liturgical chant.
