In 2018, the duo Esther Valentin-Fieguth and Anastasia Grishutina won the Bruno-Frey-Musikpreis and the 1st prize and audience prize at the International Schubert Competition Dortmund.

The album is titled "Crime Scenes" and explores themes of violence and crime through songs, many of which are not from the 21st century.
Interpretation
The performers deliberately included some lighter pieces in the program to provide contrast, making the darker themes more impactful and reflecting that the world is not only dark.
