Henri Dutilleux, one of the composers on this album, came from a family deeply involved in the arts; his great-grandfather was a painter and his maternal grandfather was a composer and friend of Gabriel Fauré.

Kazushi Ono, the conductor, has been the Principal Conductor of the Orchestra of Lyon Opéra since the 2008-2009 season.
Performer Biography
Yossif Ivanov, the violinist on this album, won First Prize at the Montreal International Competition at age 16 and Second Prize at the Queen Elizabeth Competition two years later.

The Orchestra of the Opéra National de Lyon, conducted by Kazushi Ono on this album, was awarded the 'Victoire de la musique' in 1999 for 'Best opera or symphony orchestra'.
