Annie Fischer's last concert in Szolnok in 1994, originally planned with only one concerto, turned into an extended solo recital of encores due to overwhelming audience acclaim.

Annie Fischer's complete edition of Beethoven's piano sonatas, released posthumously, became legendary, though she never permitted its release during her lifetime, constantly returning to the studio to modify them.

The sound quality of these recordings, made with amateur equipment in the 1970s, has been considerably improved using modern techniques without adding anything to the original performance.

Annie Fischer, the pianist on this album, had a unique aversion to recordings, especially studio work, which her husband ironically called 'microphone-sickness'.
