Gabriel Fauré, a significant French composer, studied for 11 years at the École de Musique Classique et Religieuse in Paris, where he learned organ, church music, harmony, and composition.

Composition History

James Whitbourn's Son of God Mass was inspired by BBC films shot in the Holy Land, and ingeniously uses selected film themes he composed to build a mass cycle reminiscent of the Renaissance parody mass.

Paweł Gusnar, the saxophonist on this album, is a versatile artist who combines classical, jazz, and entertainment music, and has had over 70 compositions written for him.
