This recording of "An Index of Metals" was made during a live performance at the To Listen To Festival on September 27, 2024, at the Turin Conservatoire.

The composer drew inspiration from 1960s light shows and rave parties to create a new form of musical representation at a 'cultured' level.

The work's title and its 'metallic' sound refer to the 1975 LP "Evening Star" by Brian Eno and Robert Fripp, which featured a track also titled "An Index of Metals."
