Nicolas Flagello (1928-1994) was an American composer who created a large and varied body of work, including six operas, two symphonies, and eight concertos.

The recordings for this album were made at the Concert Hall of the Slovak Radio in Bratislava, Slovakia, from November 5-10, 2001.

Critical Reception

During Flagello's formative years after 1945, his music gained little attention because his traditional romantic style was unfashionable compared to the reigning 'original' and 'experimental' techniques.
