Composer Biography
Heino Hallek, an Estonian-born arranger on this album, served as the regional music director in Rattvik, Sweden, from 1956 to 1994, where he was fascinated by the local folk music.

The Junekvartetten (June Quartet) has expanded the traditional string quartet repertoire to include folk music, reaching a broader audience and creating new concert formats.
