Rieko Yoshizumi, the pianist of Duo Avad, is an honorary professor at the Hochschule für Musik 'Carl Maria von Weber' Dresden and gives masterclasses internationally.
Interpretation
The Duo Avad consciously chose to record only pieces in free form, believing they better represent the Impressionist style than stricter sonata forms.
Composer Biography
Lili Boulanger, a pupil of Louis Vierne and Gabriel Fauré, won the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1913, but her promising career was cut short by a lung illness.
