Jerzy Gablenz's Piano Concerto in D flat, Op 25, completed in 1926, was not premiered until 1977 in Santo Domingo, where his son Thomas Gablenz lived.

Jerzy Gablenz died in an aircraft crash on November 11, 1937, when his plane hit a high-tension pylon while flying from Kraków to Warsaw.
