Ronan Busfield, the tenor soloist, was a semi-finalist on Britain's Got Talent in 2018, impressing judges with his rendition of 'Maria' from West Side Story.

This recording marks the first time the two choirs of Jesus College, Cambridge, and the Britten Sinfonia have collaborated on a disc.
Composition History
Grayston Ives' Requiem was commissioned by Mark Loveday to commemorate the 550th anniversary of Magdalen College, Oxford, and was first performed there in 2008.

Grayston Ives, the composer, had his schoolboy compositions reviewed by Benjamin Britten, who offered encouragement and advice.
