Neil Thomson, the conductor, studied with Leonard Bernstein at Tanglewood and was the youngest person ever to be Professor of Conducting at the Royal College of Music, London.

Performer Biography

Abner Landim, the violinist on this recording, graduated with honors from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music and has served as concertmaster for the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Symphony Orchestra and the Goiás Philharmonic Orchestra.

This album is part of "The Music of Brazil" series, a project by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote music by Brazilian composers dating back to the 18th century.
