Performer Biography
Pianist Satoko Tsutsumi, after graduating from Kyoto City University of Arts, paused her performing career for a deep exploration of her musical roots before resuming activity.
Composition History
Chopin's Ballades No. 2 and No. 3 were inspired by the legendary poems of the Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz.
Album & Artwork
The album title, Hanakage No Komichi (Promenade in the Shadow of Flowers), was chosen to reflect the idea that even beautiful things cast a shadow, and living flowers are rooted in the soil.
