For "Here I Am," Jocelyn Hagen crafted the libretto from the words of 47 inspiring women from across the world and across time, featuring newly created portraits by seven women artists for live-concert projections.
Composition History
The work "Here I Am" was conceived after Eric Holtan approached Jocelyn Hagen with the idea to write a piece celebrating the women's suffrage movement and the centennial of the 19th Amendment.
