Szigeti made his US debut in 1925 with the Philadelphia Orchestra under Leopold Stokowski, after which he was recognized internationally as a leading violinist.

Szigeti began his recording career in 1908 with acoustic discs, but did not record again until the advent of electrical recording nearly twenty years later.
Interpretation
Szigeti was one of the first violinists to record a complete Bach solo sonata, recording all four movements of Sonata No.1 in G minor in 1931.
