The Bretón String Quartet, formed in 2003, has been the string quartet in residence for the Jaén Prize International Piano Competition since 2017.

Jinhyung Park has won top prizes at the Jaén and Čiurlionis piano competitions in 2023, and the Morocco Philharmonic Orchestra International Music Competition in 2025.
Compositional Technique
Brahms's Handel Variations are based on an Aria from Handel's Harpsichord Suite No. 1 and feature a concluding fugue that pays tribute to the Baroque origins of the piece.
