Martin Kuuskmann, the bassoon virtuoso on this recording, is multiple GRAMMY®-nominated and has had eleven bassoon concertos written especially for him.
Instruments
The Concerto for Violin, Horn, Shofar and Orchestra features a shofar, an ancient instrument made from a ram's horn, which Kertsman believes can give a sense of transcendence.
