Alina Ibragimova, the violinist on this album, was born in Russia in 1985 and studied at the Moscow Gnesin School before moving to the UK.

The Variations in G major, K359, were likely composed for Countess Maria Karolina Rumbeke, Mozart's first piano pupil after his arrival in Vienna in 1781.

In the Sonata in E flat major, K302, Mozart attempted to recreate the sound of the famous Mannheim court orchestra, particularly its long crescendo over a repeated pedal-note.
