This album is part of a project of over 100 new pieces for string orchestra, initiated by Martin Anderson (founder of Toccata Classics) to commemorate his late partner, Yodit Tekle.

The album's public title, 'Music for My Love', was chosen to be more universally understood, as 'Yodit' (the original title) was often mistaken for a village or a Japanese technique.
Performer Biography
The Ukrainian Festival Orchestra (UFO) was founded in 2014 in Lviv, Ukraine, with the primary goal of recording and popularizing Ukrainian classical music worldwide.
Recording & Production
The recording of all 100+ pieces in this project is estimated to cost around £200,000, with any earnings above that amount directed to five charitable targets.
Cultural Impact
The project aims to expand the audience for new classical music, similar to Chineke! (a London-based orchestra giving a platform to black and minority-ethnic musicians), by featuring works written for a black African woman.
Performer Biography
Paul Mann, the conductor on this album, is known for his collaborations with rock groups, including two acclaimed performances with Deep Purple and Jon Lord's Concerto for Group and Orchestra.
