Paul Mann, the conductor, first gained international attention by winning the 1998 Donatella Flick Conducting Competition, leading to his appointment as assistant conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra.

The composer, David Hackbridge Johnson, completed a PhD in experimental music which resulted in a multi-tracked opera set in the sci-fi language of Klingon, where he played all instruments and sang all parts.

David Hackbridge Johnson, the composer, taught at Charterhouse School, Aiglon College in Switzerland, and for 30 years at Nonsuch High School for Girls, where he is Composer in Residence.

The three works on this album were composed between 2012 and 2016 and are all receiving their first recordings here.
