Masao Ohki's Symphony No. 5, known as 'Hiroshima Symphony', was one of the first Japanese works dedicated to the tragedy of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in August 1945.

This recording was made at Sumida Triphony Hall, Tokyo, from May 1st to 2nd, 2005, and was recorded and edited at 24-bit resolution.
Composition History
The 'Hiroshima Symphony' is based on six paintings by Iri and Toshi Maruki, artists known for their 'The Hiroshima Panels'.
