Olga Neuwirth, born in Graz, Austria in 1968, studied composition with Erich Urbanner at the Vienna Academy of Music and Performing Arts.

In 'Hooloomooloo', Olga Neuwirth uses an 'e-bow' on a piano string and a lowered E flat from an Ondes Martenot (an early electronic musical instrument) on a CD recording to create a dilated sinus sound.
