Mats Lidstrom, the cellist for whom the Cello Concerto No. 1 was written, is a professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London and was the Artistic Director of the "From-Sweden.com" festival.
Compositional Technique
In the Flute Concerto No. 1, titled "Shimmering Blue," Martinsson incorporates an advanced glissando technique developed by flautist Magnus Bage, making the instrument sound entirely new.
