Composition History

Contemporary Music for All (CoMA) was launched in 1993, initially as a national contemporary music summer school, to create an environment for amateur and professional musicians to share their passion for new music.

Cultural Impact

The Open Score project, which created a flexibly scored repertoire, was inspired by the success of CoMA's performances at Tate Liverpool, where works were played to large audiences in the galleries.

Gregory Rose, the conductor, is known for his performances of romantic and contemporary repertoires, having conducted over 300 premieres of orchestral, choral, and ensemble music.
