Compositional Technique
Christopher Rouse's Organ Concerto uses very low woodwinds and other low-register instruments to create a dark soundscape, contrasting with the high registers of the organ, violins, and trumpets.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Wayne Oquin, composer of 'Resilience', based his composition on developing a limited number of motifs, mirroring human tenacity and perseverance.
