Alois Glaßner, the director of the Salzburg Bach Choir since 2003, also teaches choral conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and founded the Vienna Choir School.

Recording & Production
During the recording, soft birdsong from outside was captured and intentionally left in the final production, as the director felt these 'heavenly singers' belonged to the music.
Interpretation
The album includes compositions on Marian texts alongside Lord's Prayer settings to explore a more subjective and intimate approach to prayer settings.
