Pedro Faria Gomes, born in Lisbon in 1979, studied piano from age four and later composition with João Madureira and Eurico Carrapatoso in Portugal.

Pedro Faria Gomes has received commissions from prestigious institutions including the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, the National Ballet of Portugal, and the London Symphony Orchestra.
