Jessie Montgomery's "Rhapsody No. 1" is the first solo violin piece she wrote for herself, drawing inspiration from Eugène Ysaÿe's solo violin works.

The album "Prism" grew out of violinist Fenella Humphreys' desire to continue performing music she was given, arranged, or discovered during the spring of 2020.

This album was recorded in St Martin's Church, East Woodhay, Hampshire, UK, from December 7-9, 2022.
Interpretation
Fenella Humphreys, the violinist on this album, created several of the arrangements for solo violin herself, including works by Bach, Satie, Debussy, and Schumann.
