The Zurich Ensemble is comprised of four internationally recognized and award-winning Swiss soloists: Fabio Di Càsola (clarinet), Kamilla Schatz (violin), Pi-Chin Chien (cello), and Benjamin Engeli (piano).

This album was recorded in August 2013 at Studio DRS in Zurich, Switzerland, and is a co-production of Radio SRF 2 Kultur and paladino media gmbh.
Composer Biography
Aram Khachaturian, a Soviet-Armenian composer, was accused of "formalism" and "anti-Soviet tendencies" in the late 1930s, leading his Trio for Clarinet, Violin and Piano to be his last chamber music work.
