Gerhard Oppitz, the pianist on this album, began playing piano at age five and debuted with Mozart's Piano Concerto in D Minor at age eleven.

Gerhard Oppitz has a particular fondness for presenting major groups of work cycles, including all solo works by Schubert and the complete piano works of Brahms.
