Franz Schubert, despite a short life, began thirteen symphonies and completed seven of them within his eighteen-year composing career.
Compositional Technique
The two Overtures 'in the Italian Style' on this album are clearly modeled on the typical form of a Rossini overture, including the use of 'Rossini crescendos' in the C major Overture.
