Ayham Hammour, the pianist on this album, was born in Damascus in 1985 and began playing piano at age six.

The recording of Rachmaninoff's Piano Sonatas Nos. 1 and 2 (CD 1) was financed by the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź.

Ayham Hammour has won numerous piano competitions, including first prizes at the International Master Competition in Warsaw and the Golden Classical Music Awards in New York.
