Katrina Lee, the violinist of GAIA Duo, was a prizewinner at the International Queen Sophie Charlotte Violin Competition and received every string prize at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Alice Allen, the cellist of GAIA Duo, was a recipient of the Durbar-Gerber Chamber Music Award and a prizewinner in the Royal Scottish National Orchestra's Concerto Competition.

The GAIA Duo's shared mission is to explore underrepresented composers and unknown bodies of work, with this album predominantly featuring women composers.
