The recording was made in 2025 at Studio Paulello in Villethierry, France, with artistic direction by Mathieu Herzog and Ambroise Helmlinger.

The album features a nyckelharpa, an extraordinary instrument played by Éléonore Billy, which adds a unique sound to the folk tunes on the recording.
Composition History
Amanda Maier's Piano Trio in E-flat major was considered lost for about 150 years until her great-grandson rediscovered it in a trunk of old papers in 2016.

The album aims to rebalance concert programs, which the performers felt were previously as mixed as an 18th-century gentlemen's club, by including pieces composed by women.
