Lachezar Kostov, a Bulgarian cellist, is a tenured member of the San Antonio Symphony and a faculty member at UTSA and the Texas Music Festival.

In 2011, the Kostov-Valkov Duo won First Prize at the Fifth Liszt-Garrison International Piano and Duo Competition, also receiving awards for best interpretation of an American composer's work and a Franz Liszt work.
Composition History
Franz Liszt's Evocation à la Chapelle Sixtine, S461, was commissioned by the American Liszt Society, Baltimore-Washington Chapter, under President Dr. Nancy Roldán.

Viktor Valkov, a pianist, was the Gold Medalist of the 2012 New Orleans International Piano Competition and winner of the 2015 Astral Artists National Auditions.
