Argentinian cellist and composer José Bragato, a long-time companion of Astor Piazzolla, exclusively wrote many piano trio arrangements for the Trio Animæ.
Performer Biography
The Trio Animæ was a Swiss chamber music ensemble active from 1993 to 2010, known for its consistent lineup of pianist Tomas Dratva, violinist Jean-Christophe Gawrysiak, and cellist Dieter Hilpert.
Recording & Production
This collection re-releases all of Trio Animæ's studio recordings, with the final album, "ASTORology & OTHER RECYCLED TANGOS" (Vol. 9), being a first release.
Performer Biography
During its 17 years, Trio Animæ performed over 100 piano trio compositions in hundreds of concerts across Europe and South America.
