Paavo Järvi conducts the music of his Estonian compatriot Erkki-Sven Tüür, performed by the Estonian Festival Orchestra. In his Ninth Symphony, titled “Mythos” and recorded here for the first time, Tüür considers the question of national myths, particularly the history of the Finno-Ugric peoples. Two more works, Incantation of Tempest and Sow the Wind, show different sides of Tüür.
