Composer's Artistic Vision

Hildegard of Bingen, a 12th-century mystic and composer, had a deep love for birds and the natural world, which served as enduring sources of inspiration for her work.

The album features an immersive listening experience using more than 40 loudspeakers driven by the 4DSOUND spatial sound system.

Recording & Production

All instrumentation on the album, aside from the voice, is electronic, creating a sound world that models traditional instruments digitally and analogically, while also exploring new textures.

The album's music becomes progressively more electronic and experimental, weaving responses to Hildegard's chants with original compositions, while maintaining the meditative spirit of her work.
