Slávka Pěchočová-Vernerová, the pianist on this recording, completed her doctoral studies on the complete piano works of Leoš Janáček.

These three piano concertos (K.413, K.414, K.415) were the first of seventeen that Mozart composed during his time in Vienna.

Mozart described these three works to his father, Leopold, as a 'happy medium' between too easy and too difficult, brilliant and pleasing without being vapid.

Slávka Pěchočová-Vernerová has won several international piano competitions, including the International Smetana's piano competition in Hradec Králové in 1996.
