Since 1982, the Abegg Trio has released over 20 recordings, including complete piano trio cycles by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann, and Brahms.
Performer Biography
Ulrich Beetz, the violinist, and Gerrit Zitterbart, the pianist of the Abegg Trio, are both professors at music conservatories in Weimar and Hanover, respectively.
Instruments
Ulrich Beetz plays a violin made by Nicolas Lupot in Paris in 1821, and Birgit Erichson plays a violoncello by Alessandrus D'Espine from Turin in 1829.
