In 1935, Alfredo Casella reconstructed Muzio Clementi's Symphonies WO 32 and WO 33 from materials in the Library of Congress and conducted successful performances of them.

In 1921, Georges du Parc Poulain Saint-Foix, a pupil of musicologist Wyzewa, identified incomplete manuscripts by Clementi in the Library of Congress, including four symphonies and an Overture in D major.

Muzio Clementi, a composer and piano manufacturer, is buried in Westminster Abbey, where his gravestone proclaims him 'The Father of the pianoforte'.
