The Lone Star Wind Orchestra was founded in 2006 with the goal of being a vital participant in the North Texas arts community, nurturing musical growth and expanding the wind band repertoire.
Performer Biography
Eugene Migliaro Corporon, the Music Director and Conductor of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, has recorded over 600 works, including many premieres and commissions, with his groups.

The album title "Converging Cultures" reflects the diverse program, which includes music inspired by festive Spain, Californian festivals, Korean traditional rhythms, Cuban and Mexican dances, and a fusion of hard-rock and classical styles.
Performer Biography
Fred Hamilton, the guitarist on this album, is a Professor of Music in the Jazz Studies Division at the University of North Texas and has performed and presented workshops internationally.
Recording & Production
This album was recorded at the Murchison Performing Arts Center, Winspear Hall, Denton, Texas, USA, across two sessions in June 2010 and June 2011.
