Phantasmagoria is an orchestral suite that remembers themes and textures from Corigliano's 1992 tragicomic opera, The Ghosts of Versailles, which was commissioned for the 100th anniversary of The Metropolitan Opera.

Three Hallucinations is drawn from Altered States, Corigliano's first film score, for which he devised a new vocabulary of extreme timbre and frenzied gesture to depict a scientist's time-traveling, drug-induced fantasies.
